Need Help With Your Labrador?

Making the decision to let your dog go is extremely difficult and we understand how traumatic it can be. When families and individuals approach us, they aren't always sure what their options are. If we can prevent a dog having to come into rescue, through advice and signposting, then we will do what we can to help. However, sometimes there is no other option and we do what we can to ensure that the process is clearly explained and that there is minimal distress to your beloved dog.

Our rehoming team, coordinated by Kate Harris, has a wealth of experience and work hard to ensure that each individual dog's needs are met in their new homes. Not only this, we offer lifetime support for all families who adopt from us so if circumstances change with the new family, you know that your dog will be looked after.

We do not use kennels which takes out the stress that some animals may have in that environment. All dogs that come into Labradors In Need go to our approved adoptive or foster families, dependent on the individual needs of each dog. All our adoptive/foster families are thoroughly home-checked by our team of experienced volunteers.

We can chat through the whole process with you, but if you find it difficult to talk about it, we can communicate with you in whatever way you find easier.

The important thing is that we can help you and your dog...

If you’re not sure of your options or just want to chat to someone who understands and can offer you advice, then please get in touch and we will endeavour to answer any questions you may have. You can also call or text 07377 548955 to speak with a member of our rehoming team (please do not use this number for general enquiries).
