Labradors in Need (LIN) takes utmost care in trying to match the right dog with the right family, and ensuring an appropriate environment for individual needs.
The first part of the process is to arrange for one of our volunteers to visit you for a Home Check.
Once that has been completed, and approved, you will be notified when a suitable dog comes into rescue. It can take quite a considerable time, or it may happen rather more quickly! Initially you will be asked to foster, usually for a minimum of three weeks, with a view to adopt. This gives both you and the dog time to settle. You will have the support of LIN, if needed, at all times.
We will try to organise a Home Check as soon as practicable. Someone from our network of hard-working volunteers, who give up their free time to help us, will contact you directly to arrange a mutually agreeable time. Therefore it is very important to let us know immediately if your circumstances have changed for any reason and you do NOT wish to proceed.
Thank you for your interest.
