Charlie Adopted

Charlie is a lively, playful, waggy tailed 5 year old who desperately wants (and deserves) attention and affection. He was taken on by the current owner after his first owner passed away. Unfortunately, Charlie hasn't been properly socialised and is eager to please but barks greetings 😂 . He was assessed by one of our trustees who observed no aggression on his part, he just needs to be taught how to behave and be socialised in a controlled manner.

Charlie does liv e with another dog but he is somewhat in the other dog's shadow and doesn't get the input that he needs. He also lives with a cat that stands its ground so a dog savvy cat would be needed. The most important thing with Charlie is that you MUST give him the time, patience, love and attention he needs. He needs to be an equal member of a family with another well balanced dog or the only dog. He needs and deserves the commitment of a family who are around a lot for him. He doesn't live with kids so older ones that can engage with him and help with training would be fine. Half the week, the current owner's 8 year old granddaughter stays so he's fine with her.
